The new IP-S3 TOPCON's mobile 3D mapping system is a powerful and lightweight system that has been designed to scan 5 times faster than previous models.

The rotating LiDAR sensor captures the environment with a rate of 700.000 pulses per second and offers amazing data with panoramic pictures 30MP.

INTEGRATED POSITIONING SYSTEM
Topcon's 3D mobile mapping system IP-S3 overcomes the challenges of linear mapping with a high level accuracy. The accurate positioning of the systems achived by using three technologies:
■ A GNSS receiver (GPS and GLONASS) for positioning.
■ An Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) providing vehicle's velocity.
■ A vehicle odometer.

These three technologies are combined to provide a high accuracy 3D positioning for the vehicle, even at locations that satellite signal can be interrupted from obstacles such as buildings, bridges or tree arrays. GNSS data can be post processed for even higher accuracy.
