XGRIDS Lixel K2: The Gold Standard in Lightweight 3D Scanning

Redefining engineering-grade point clouds with portable, real-world accuracy.

Meet the Lixel K2, the next-generation handheld 3D scanner from XGRIDS. Designed to bridge the gap between high-precision surveying and operational simplicity, the K2 allows professionals to walk and capture wide-area spatial data with 1 cm relative accuracy and stunning visual fidelity—all from a compact 1.2 kg device .

Whether you are in construction, surveying, heritage documentation, or digital twins, the Lixel K2 is built to deliver measurement-ready data directly from the field.

Why Choose the Lixel K2?

The Lixel K2 isn't just a spec upgrade; it is a complete workflow revolution. By integrating a 360° LiDAR, a triple-camera array, and a built-in RTK module, it solves the biggest pain points of traditional scanning: bulky equipment, complex post-processing, and noisy data.

  • True Engineering-Grade Accuracy: Achieve reliable, repeatable results with up to 1 cm relative accuracy and a post-processed point cloud thickness of less than 1 cm. Your walls, openings, and structural elements are rendered with sharp, usable definition .

  • Real-Time Quality Control: See a colorized point cloud on your smartphone or tablet via the LixelGO app while you scan. Verify data coverage instantly and eliminate the need for costly site revisits .

  • Built for the Real World: Work in challenging conditions with an IP54 protection rating and an operating temperature range from -20°C to 50°C. The K2 is as tough as your job site .

Key Features & Innovations

Engineering-Grade Point Clouds

The K2 is the core device realizing XGRIDS’ new "Engineering-Grade Point Cloud" standard. It produces data that is not just visually appealing but reliable enough for measurement, modeling, and real-world decision-making. The point cloud thickness is capped at ≤1 cm, drastically reducing cleanup time in post-processing .

Diagonal LiDAR & Front Camera

Unlike its predecessors, the K2 features a diagonally placed LiDAR sensor (360° × -7° to +52° FOV), allowing you to hold the device naturally while still capturing the ground to the sky. A new fixed front camera (50mm equivalent) captures high-resolution textures, drastically improving the detail of 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) for signs, text, and fine objects .

Real-Time Moving Object Removal

One of the world's first features in a handheld scanner: the K2 detects and removes moving objects (people, vehicles, animals) during the scan. Immediately after scanning, you get a clean, denoised preview—saving hours of manual PC cleanup .

Integrated RTK Module

Previously an expensive add-on, the RTK module is now standard and built-in. This provides real-time, absolute centimeter-level positioning (3 cm accuracy) using GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou), ensuring your scans anchor correctly in the real world without external setups .

LixelStudio 4.0: The Perfect Partner

The Lixel K2 is launched alongside the official release of LixelStudio 4.0. This software update introduces significant algorithm upgrades across the processing pipeline, resulting in:

  • Cleaner point clouds with less noise.

  • Improved color accuracy in low-light conditions.

  • More stable mesh reconstruction with fewer gaps.

  • One-click processing for rapid deliverables .

From capture to cloud sharing, the K2 integrates seamlessly with the LCC ecosystem (LCC Studio, LCC Cloud, Web Viewer) for VR display, video output, and collaborative review .
